Two unmarked police cars stopped and searched a van on 93rd street and Corona Ave., Elmhurst at approximately 9:20am and Saturday morning.

The drivers were detained for over 45 minutes in what appeared to be a maintenance vehicle.

There was no confirmation that the suspects were engaged in any event related activities with criminal intent however, there were several advertising campaigns and other pedestrians dressed in a similar fashion.

Mixed reality marketing has become increasingly popular and may attract others while piggybacking off of its popularity.

Authorities did not take anyone into custody. However, the search did result in what appeared to be a summons.
