Samuel Stern School PS 7, East Harlem
east harlem
My favorite Dollar Tree is in East Harlem. I had some extra time and decided to go to the 3rd Avenue location at the corner of 119th, a few feet away from the Samuel Stern School PS 7.
my bag of oreo’s had an expiration date marked for 2025.
A security monitor is displayed above the front entrence of Dollar Tree, 3rd Avenue.
Me standing outside looking in from a makeshift, mixed-reality perspective.
I was struck by the presence of advanced technology, particularly in the way products were labeled and tracked.
This became evident when I noticed that my bag of Oreo's had an expiration date marked for 2025.
With my Oreo’s and a Rock Star Energy drink ($2.50), in hand I headed toward Central Park North. By the time I got to Park I could see what looked like a new retail development.
When I asked if the new structure would be for shopping the construction crew said they “weren’t sure”. “Events,” one of them stated. “But this is Harlem,” he concluded.
I stopped at Central Park North.
The mixed-use component of Templo Cristiano Bethel, 7 Central Park North adjacent to The Beautiful Disciples of Christ is another example of mixed-reality structure.
